Water

A pool, a jacuzzi and a river: three ways into the water, none of them on the clock.

A guest seen from behind, knee-deep in the pool, framed by palms and tropical plants, with forest and mountains under a cloudy sky beyond.

Infinity pool

Our infinity pool looks straight out over the green and the Sierra’s mountains. A mid-morning dip easily turns into a whole afternoon on a lounger, watching the light shift across the valley. After dark it lights up and everything slows down a notch.

Good to know

  • It’s set in the garden among loungers, with the mountains as a backdrop.
  • Wondering about water temperature or when it’s open? Ask us and we’ll tell you.
  • We’ll walk you through the pool rules when you arrive, so everyone gets to enjoy it.

Jacuzzi

We opened it in September 2026: river, nature and now our own jacuzzi. It’s for winding down after a hike, or for an unhurried conversation as the afternoon fades.

Good to know

  • It’s the latest addition to Costeño River, introduced in September 2026.
  • Water temperature or opening times? Message us and we’ll fill you in.
  • After a quieter moment? Ask us when it’s usually calmest.

Water · a few steps away

The river and quiet corners

The river runs alongside the property and you can hear it from the house. About 20 metres away there’s a way down that our guests describe as private: big rocks to sit on, pools and currents that change with the season. And when you’d rather stay still, there are nets and hammocks.

Good to know

  • Check with the team before going into the river; the flow changes with the rain.
  • The rocks can be slippery, so shoes with some grip are a good idea.
  • The way down is about 20 metres from the house; recent guests describe it as private.
  • Nets and hammocks: ask us which ones are free for a rest.

Wellbeing

Massage among the greenery and, some weeks, yoga. The sound of the river takes care of the rest.

Massage space among the greenery: a therapist works on a guest lying on a table under a curtained canopy, beside the carved “Agua de Río” sign and a Buddha figure holding a candle.

Agua de Río · massage

Agua de Río is our massage space tucked into the greenery: a cabana wrapped in plants, its sign right there at the entrance. Water, nature and time to simply be.

Good to know

  • Treatments, times and prices: check availability on WhatsApp.
  • On a short stay? Message us early and we’ll look for a slot.
  • Let us know beforehand about any health condition or preference.

Wellbeing · some weeks

Yoga

Some weeks, the morning opens with a yoga session facing the green. It isn’t a daily class and there’s no fixed timetable; it depends on the week. If it’s something you’d love, ask us what’s on for your dates.

Good to know

  • It varies week to week, so message us and we’ll tell you if there are sessions during your stay.
  • Ask us whether it’s worth bringing your own mat.

Eat and gather

Breakfast at home, a bar close by and evenings that sometimes end in dancing.

Eat · no need to head into town

Food and bar

We have a restaurant and bar on site, so eating well doesn’t mean heading into town. Breakfast comes with the standard direct-booking rate, and the bar mixes the cocktails our guests tend to bring up.

Good to know

  • Breakfast is included in the standard rate on our booking engine; if you book through another platform, check what your rate includes.
  • Menu, opening times and special options (vegetarian, allergies): ask us before you arrive.

Gather · when a plan comes together

Time together

Here, slowing down is something you can share. Some nights the salsa gets going; others bring karaoke, a bonfire with marshmallows, ping-pong or games in the pool. None of it is nightly: every week finds its own rhythm, and if you’d rather stay in the hammock, that works too.

Good to know

  • Plans change from week to week, so ask us what’s on for your dates.
  • Our Linktree lists a WhatsApp activities community; ask us for the current link before you join.
  • It’s sociable, not an all-night party.
  • Costeño River is adults-only.

Activities

For heading out into Minca, or for staying put and working with a view of the green.

Activities · beyond the gate

Heading out into Minca

Around us there are waterfalls, coffee and cacao farms and viewpoints for days. We’re happy to share ideas and answer questions about activities, tours or airport transfers: message us and we’ll tell you what can be arranged for your dates. For inspiration, have a look at our Minca guide.

Good to know

  • We don’t sell packages here; every outing is talked through on WhatsApp.
  • Flying in or out? Ask us about airport transfers.
  • Many places nearby are run by independent farms and operators; the guide tells you which.
  • Third-party prices and times change, so always confirm them with whoever runs the service.

Activities · laptop, green view

Working among the trees

Bring your laptop and there’s a shared table where work comes with a view of the green. Wi-Fi is free, but we’re up in the mountains: the connection can vary, and we can’t promise long video calls or a desk of your own.

Good to know

  • Free Wi-Fi for guests; speed and stability can vary.
  • There are no assigned desks and no guaranteed socket at every seat; ask us for the best spot.
  • Some booking platforms list it as a coworking space; check with us what that actually covers.
  • Important meetings? Message us before you book and we’ll talk it through.

How your day could feel

A suggested mood, not a timetable.

  1. Morning

Birdsong before any alarm. Coffee, an unhurried breakfast and the mountain slowly clearing.

  2. Afternoon

A swim with the valley in front of you, a book in the net or a walk out to a waterfall. Nobody’s rushing you.

  3. Evening

Lights on the pool and conversation around the big table. Sometimes a little music; other times just the river and the stars.

Beyond the property
